How to use 1and1 website builder with Adsense

1and1 telling you that you cannot do adsense with website builder? I bet they are also saying you cannot get your site verified with Google webmasters or you have to ftp the code, later to learn the code goes back to normal as soon as you publish again and then your site is not verified with Google any longer.

Look no further your answers are about to be answered.

If you are like me and you like the simplicity and the price of 1and1, you have been looking for answers. Let’s face it 1and1's tech support is not going to be nominated for an award of any type. The website builder giant is the largest of its kind and even one of the few registrars there is however there campaign is lacking one major thing- Support and it has been getting better and better all of the time thanks to there surveys.

1 and 1 website builder will do adsense and you can get your 1and1 website verified with Google webmasters. I have several and know for a fact you can do it without doing any ftp what so ever. It is a bit of work, but once you get it down you will be very pleased. So read the following if you would like to use 1and1 with adsense.

1and1 site builder does tons of different things, just about every single thing you can do with dreamweaver and then some. The problem is figuring it out.
Can you blame 1and1 for not having techs as good as you? No you certainly cannot. 1and1 literally cannot afford nor can they find that many people with that much talent and knowledge. Let’s face it, websites, computers and Seo are a month the highest learning curves there is, many of which is trial and error or hands on.

It took me 2 years just to learn what I am going to teach you in a matter of minutes.

If this page is lucky enough to find its way to the top, then those will rest easy knowing that the one question that 1and1 will repeatedly tell you over and over and over is: You cannot verify your site with Google webmasters! "are you sure I ask!?" yes sir Mr. Harper, You cannot". Then maybe they would answer Yes you can Mr. Harper, you have to FTP it to your header tag. “FTP? What does that mean Ftp? If I knew all of that I would certainly not be using 1and1!

Well guess what folks? You can ftp the tag in to your header, BUT as soon as you publish your page, the template goes right back to its original template. UGGG! Once again victory was just a click away and yet the refresh button took it just as fast as it was given.

For 2 years I called and tried to figure out a way to make adsense work and to get my site verified with Google. It also works best with Firefox.

I have now had my sites verified with Google for a long time. I want to share with all of you 1and1 frustrated account holders how simple it is. It may not be pretty but it works!!!

How to get your 1and1 website Google verified

The first thing Google will tell you is "Please Verify Your Site". This is extremely important because you do not want your competition or thugs in general looking at your private and confidential information. It also keeps crooks in check with Adsense.
3. A new window will pop up (Overview) your domain name you are adding and a box that says Next step Verify your site. Click on that link.
It will tell you verification status: NOT VERIFIED

Step 4. Choose verification method, click on drop down and choose "Upload an HTML file". Cut (or copy) the code all the way up to .html (do not copy .html!)
If your code is googlea620r3cc2ef0f766.html on copy googlea620r3cc2ef0f766.html.

5. You are a minute away from being verified! Log into your 1and1 account.

6. Once you are logged into your 1and1 website builder you want to get verified, go to pages and click "new". In title you can make it whatever you wish. It can even be a regular title about something on your site. For this sake we will call the title SEO. (I can even make a page about Seo if I like) .

Here is the important step. Under the title you have a box checked that says “automatically name file" Uncheck this and put in the Google verification code. Click, save and you are done! Make sure you put a description tag and a keyword tag as well.

7. Publish your 1and1 site builder.

8. You should still have your Google account open. Click verify. DONE! You should now see that you are successful and have a green check mark next to your site address.

Do not forget to add your sitemap when you are done! Site maps are crucial to Google crawling your site correctly. Any time you add a page, change a page or delete your page UPDATE your site map. Go to domains, click on the domain name and update or add a site map. 1and1 will let you do this once a day. so any time you make changes to a page extension, update your site map! When in doubt, update your site map!

Add your Google Site map!

If you do not know how to upload your 1and1 site builder site map just add google_sitemap.xml . Make sure you have your site map uploaded in your 1and1 back panel or this will not work! It takes a few minutes then verify.

all site maps files are the same on 1and site builders. It will take a few days or a week for Google to get it indexed.

Now you are ready to ad Adsense! Unfortunately with 1and1 they just plop code into the pages. This makes it very tricky! You will have to play with different ads and see which ones work. Please remember this. Once you add your adsense code and click update it sets the code. When you go back and edit your 1and1 site builder you will in fact have to re paste the code over again on text banners, text ads etc. Play with the ads! You should only have to re-paste the page that you updated or saved.

YouTube adsense ads work flawlessly and you do not have to re paste code all of the time. I am sure there may be other ads that do the same, I just have not had time to play with it more yet. It has taken a year to get done what I have so far, in some cases 2 years. I hope this information helps you out, it was a blessing for me as I am a professional with SEO.
